How to Reach wynad

By Air
The nearest airport is Calicut (Kozhikode) Airport is away from is 02 Hours travel.

By Rail
The nearest Railway Station is Calicut (Kozhikode) Railway Station (02 Hrs) ELSE the Major Station is Shoranur (04 Hrs).

By Road
Well connected by roads from Kozhikode, Kannur, Ooty (175 km from Kalpetta) and Mysore (140 km from Kalpetta).

Tucked away at the north eastern tip of Kerala, this quaint little hill station about 1300m above sea level is renowned for its coffee, tea, cardamom, pepper and rubber plantations. Mist capped mountains and breath taking scenery dominate other tourist attractions.

Wynad stands as one of the loveliest hill stations of Kerala. It is at a height of 700m to 2100 m above sea level.Wynad's climate and geography make it ideal for the cultivation of Coffee, Tea, Cardamom, Pepper and Rubber.

Lakkidi

Lakkidi is 5 kms away from south of Vythiri. Lakkidi is the gateway to Wayanad. The winding road to this hill station with lush green vegetation, lofty peaks and mountain streams is a delightful experience.

As a popular Hill Station in India, Lakkidi also boasts of the second highest degree of rainfall in the whole wide World. A Tour to the rain soaked silhouettes of Lakkidi would enable the Tourists to decipher the same magic. Irulas and Mudugars are the main tribes inhabiting the Waynad region which houses the rain soaked Lakkidi as a famous Hill Station in India.
