In the Ayurveda philosophy all living organisms are made up of five elements. These are called Panchamahabhutas and are earth, water, fire, air and vacuum. When these five elements are in harmony, a body is in a state of good health. When the harmony of these elements is disturbed the body is in a state of negative health and requires the intervention of Ayurvedic therapy. Massage is the most common form of Ayurvedic therapy. Essential oils and extracts of healing herbs are used in the formulation of various oils. The application of these oils to the body by the trained hands of a Kerala Ayurveda masseur can provide relief to the patient from stress and various physical ailments such as sprains, spondylitis, back injuries and joint and muscle injuries. Importance of Ayurveda
Ayurveda in most simple words can be defined as the ancient system of holistic healing from India. Ayurveda is based on the curing the diseases from the roots. In Ayurveda, whole body is supposed as a mutually responding system. A single part not responding well may cause a disturbance in all body. Ayurveda works for the aim of complete health.
Ayurveda is the first such medical systems who recognizes that all diseases are but the direct manifestation of one's mental conditions. It says human mind consists three states or trigunas - sattva, rajas and tamas. Any disturbances in the equilibrium of the tri-gunas, manifest in physical illness according to the intensity or nature of the disturbances. In fact, the condition of body and mind are integral to the overall health of an individual. Ayurvedic Treatment is based on natural and herbal techniques and supplements, which are 100% side effect free.
Ayurveda does not believe in antidotes and antigens, very rarely those techniques are used, Ayurveda works not to suppress the system of body, but to go to the origin and cure the basic disturbing element. In such treatments there are very low chances of side effect and the benefit of the body is forever. It gives you a complete health treatment, which works on the complete body system so it makes you feel better in your entire body.
